Transformation Begins at the Yorkshire Museum

Work has commenced on the major refit of the Yorkshire Museum, operated by York Museums Trust. I&G has been appointed as main contractor for the works to transform the lower ground floor visitor areas and to carry out repairs to the building. Visitors will enjoy a rejuvenated experience based upon the Trust’s theme of ‘letting in the light’, with new areas opened up, visitor facilities totally revamped and exhibition spaces altered to accommodate the exciting new displays.

Work is progressing well, although there have been some unexpected finds as reported in the media recently click here for further information.

The museum reopens in August 2010
