Contract Award Success - Beech Hill Primary School - Halifax

I&G are pleased to announce they have successfully secured a new build and refrubishment works scheme to be undertaken at Beech Hill Primary School in Halifax. 

  • Infill of an existing open courtyard, the infill building is broadly rectangular, with dimensions of 18 x 10m, plus 2 additional entrance lobbies
  • There is an existing crossfall on the site of up to 2m from the upper to lower level with a grass slope with low retaining wall at the foot and external stairs to both ends of the slope - the slope will be excavated down to the lower level and two new floors constructed with intermediate levels constructed around, to connect to existing adjacent levels in adjacent rooms and corridors
  • The new infill building will be constructed of a reinforced concrete ground slab, supported on piles, pile caps and ground beams. These will support a steel portal frame structure with high level roof beams
  • The scope of works includes all trades associated with building and fitting out of a new extension

The scheme commences on the 24th of May 2010 with a completion date of the 13th of September 2010.
