Considerate Contractor - De-Steaming of Maternity - BRI
The project involves the demolition of the existing waste store building and the construction of a new boiler house adjacent to the existing maternity department. The building will comprise of reinforced concrete foundations and ground slab, structural steelwork frame, clad in curtain walling with a single ply membrane roof on metal decking. Works will also comprise of a large mechanical installation which will incorporate the re-routing of pipework and the installations of a new boiler system to serve the maternity ward.
The site has been registered under the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) of which commits contractors to be considerate and good neighbours, as well as clean, respectful, safe, environmentally conscious, responsible and accountable. Posters are displayed around the construction site setting out the Code to which the sites and I&G are committed too. If passers-by wish to comment, the name and telephone number of the Site Manager is clearly displayed.
