Scope of works

The works comprised the complete strip out to the building shell of existing facilities and included the incorporation of new Structural Steelwork to facilitate the removal and strip out of existing Structural Reinforced Concrete columns on the top floor of this existing hospital facility.

New works included the refurbishment and alterations of:

  • Rehabilitation unit Ward 5
  • Recovery Area Ward 4 
  • Ward 3
  • Construction of two new Operating Theatre Suites 
  • Refurbishment of a further two existing Operating Suites 
  • Construction of recovery, staff and ancillary areas
  • Incorporating all new M&E services within the roof top Plant Room

The project was undertaken whilst the client remained in full occupation throughout in Wards both adjacent and below.
