Experience : The successful candidate will come from a recognised main contracting background, have a stable record of employment and will present yourself in a professional manner with excellent communication skills. It is required that you have a high degree of contractual and commercial awareness, be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying and hold relevant Professional Qualifications.

Role : With full Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management responsibilities and Project Management skills for our construction activities on schemes ranging from £10k to £8m in value. A previous track record in the management and delivery of refurbishment and new build projects to quality, programme, budget inclusive of full financial management. A background in Public Sector, Education and Health works. Experience in managing multiple schemes from inception to completion including each sites programme, finances whilst achieving high quality standards demanded by I&G and our clients. Previous experience and responsibilities in the effective management of safety, the adequacy and accuracy of records, productivity and the effective and efficient utilisaiton of sub-contractors and directly employed labour. Excellent communication skills and a high level of computer literacy. 

The successful candidate will provide the company with accurate summaries of contract related matters, the preparation and submission of project reconciliations and cost /value forecasts. You will also be responsible for the tender, evaluation and award of subcontracts and the administration of sub-contractors accounts, including but not restricted to: the issue of tender enquiries, tender analysis, pre sub contract interviews and formulation and placement of subcontract orders and terms of agreement and the administration of the same. Financial Reporting – including monitoring subcontractor final expenditure / liabilities, Valuation – periodic Principle and Sub-contract valuation procedures for projects including monitoring/agreeing variations schedules and forecast final account statements. Subcontractor payments, final account agreement and general contract management.
